 Our Mission Statement
The primary mission of First Baptist Church Child Development center is to create a warm, nurturing environment for children, their parents and our staff. We are aware that a child’s love for learning will be influenced by their experiences in early years, and that children thrive best in an atmosphere of trust, respect and love. With these beliefs, we commit ourselves to providing stimulating activities, which will assist in the child’s developmental process.

Our Philosophy and Goals
We believe that children need many opportunities to create, explore, and discover the world around them. This enhances their individual uniqueness. The most important goal of our curriculum is to provide an emotionally secure and stimulating environment where we can help children become enthusiastic learners. This means encouraging children to be active and creative explorers who are not afraid to try out their ideas and think their own thoughts. Our goal is to help children become independent, self confident, inquisitive learners. We want to allow them to learn at their own pace in the way that is best for them. Our Director and trained staff have been carefully chosen to give your child the opportunity for exploration, growth and advancement. Our goal is to provide quality care and meaningful learning experiences for your child so he/she may develop to his/her greatest potential spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally and socially. To accomplish this, we provide learning and developmental experiences consistent with established tenets of early childhood education and Christian principles of the First Baptist Church of Pleasanton. Our curriculum identifies goals in all areas of development:

Social: to help children have a happy, safe experience outside the home.

Emotional: to help children experience pride and self-confidence, to develop independence and self-control, and have a positive attitude toward life.

Cognitive: to help children become confident learners by letting them try out their own ideas and experience success; by helping them acquire learning skills such as the ability to solve problems, ask, and use words to describe their ideas, observations and feelings

Physical: to help children increase their large and small muscle skills and feel confident about what their bodies can do. We want to encourage developmentally appropriate independence in children through the use of routine tasks and self help skills.

Every Wednesday our Three year old go to Chapel
